The only problem with finding a used one is that I probably won't be able to find a used GTI because the mark 6 just came out and I def. do not want a mark 5.

Yea, in that case you may have to buy used then.

With a used car you never really know everything that could've happened to it. I know what I've done to my cars in the past and I sure as hell wouldn't wanna be the second owner of any of them. haha

For me it's not worth spending 6k extra for the car new just to lose that value when you drive it off the lot when you could literally buy something that's 2 months old with 1-2k on the ticker and save 6k or more depending on how expensive the car is new. The tibby was new and cost around 20k and was only worth around 15 once I started driving it. You also usually get a longer warranty than a factory one when buying used too so buying new, you can waste money and get a shorter warranty merely for just getting the proud feeling or whatever of getting a brand new one. The only real advantage of buying new is you have the option to lease which is great if you only plan to keep it for a few years and not mod it, then you can get really cheap payments.
